Police are appealing for the assistance of the public in their efforts to trace a woman missing from Glasgow since Sunday 7 February 2016.

61-year-old Ann McKenzie was reported missing by staff at 1200 at Leverndale Hospital on Sunday.

Ann was last seen in Buchanan Street at 1300 on Tuesday.

She is described as white, 5ft in height, a heavy build, with black hair usually worn in a ponytail.

Inspector Andrew Small of Pollok Police Office said: "The latest information we have on Ann is that she was seen walking from Buchanan Street Bus Station towards Killermont Street around 1300 hours on Tuesday 9 February 2016. At that time, she was wearing a turquoise coat and burgundy trousers and had a walking stick.

“Extensive enquiries continue to be carried out to trace Ann, however as time goes on, we are growing increasingly concerned. I am appealing to anyone who recognises her from the photograph to contact us as soon as possible.

"I would also urge anyone with any information or knowledge as to Ann’s whereabouts to call us on 101. Similarly, I would ask Ann herself to get in touch so we know she is safe and well."
