Ukip has launched its manifesto for May's Holyrood election. Here are 10 policies that are contained in it:

:: With income tax powers coming to Holyrood, Ukip proposes creating an intermediate rate of 30p, which would apply to those earning between £45,300 and £55,000. The threshold for the 40p tax rate would then be raised to £55,000, with the party also backing increasing the personal allowance to £13,000.

:: Ukip would review all wages and expenses paid to "both senior bureaucrats and politicians to ensure the public are getting value for money from those that represent them".

:: Local councils would be urged to offer at least 30 minutes of free parking in city and town centres, high streets and shopping parades "to encourage shoppers into our centres and boost local business".

:: In a section called "saving the Scottish pub", the Ukip manifesto pledges to increase the drink-driving limit in Scotland to 80mg per 100ml of blood, the same as it is in the rest of the UK, arguing that "having a varied limit makes no sense and 80mg is low enough to deter reckless behaviour".

::The same section of the manifesto says the smoking ban has had "a disastrous effect on sections of the Scottish economy and society" with Ukip proposing pubs and clubs should be allowed to set up separate "properly-ventilated" smoking rooms.

:: The party supports a "proper balance of educational institutions" including both grammar schools and technical schools.

:: The Ukip manifesto promises to "end political correctness in schools and introduce a specific act aimed at banning damaging political propaganda being passed off as fact". It states: "Indoctrination of young minds is wrong. What we must give them is the desire and capacity to think freely for themselves."

:: Ukip would "review Police Scotland as a concept and investigate its possible break-up into regional police forces".
