Two stars sit next to each other on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The men on the stars have both run to be president, and one has already succeeded. That man murdered journalists, committed fraud, urinated on his father’s grave, and killed a dog. But it’s the adjacent star that is repeatedly the target of vandals.
Why? Because one man is Kevin Spacey, portrayer of President Frank Underwood in House Of Cards, and the other is Donald Trump.
My friend's service dog accidentally took a shit on Donald Trump's Hollywood star.

The Republican front-runner’s star, unveiled in 2007, will not be removed though, according to Hollywood Chamber of Commerce President Leron Gubler.
“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a registered historic landmark. Once a star has been added to the Walk, it is considered a part of the historic fabric of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Because of this, we have never removed a star from the Walk,” he said in a statement.
Cleaning crews have become a regular feature around the business mogul and TV personality’s star. And it’s no wonder.
This man said he found it covered in urine. Other pictures on social media appear to show a person urinating on the star.

Others choose different ways of showing their displeasure.

A recent poll by the Associated Press found seven in 10 Americans have an unfavourable view of the 69-year-old.
Trump was “given a star in 2007 ” to recognise his role as the host of The Apprentice.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
