A woman and her young daughter missing from home for four days have been found safe and well, police said.

Emma Malloy, 34, and six-year-old Leah were last seen by family in Crieff, Perth and Kinross, on Friday and had not been in contact since.

They were reported missing on Monday and officers said the disappearance is "out of character", leading to concerns for their safety.

Ms Malloy has connections to Edinburgh, Leeds and Hull, and forces in those areas were informed.

Police Scotland confirmed that the pair have now been found safe and well and officers thanked the public for their help.
