A city train station was plunged into darkness after a rat chewed through a power cable.
Lighting and electronic boards were all taken out by the power cut.
Train services were unaffected and passengers were still able to travel to and from Aberdeen Railway Station.
But the station's lights and departure boards were out of action yesterday morning.

Electrical engineers quickly went into action to find the source of the power cut.
They found the dead rat beside the gnawed cable shortly after 9.30am.
Rats have open-rooted incisors and molars meaning that their teeth never stop growing.

They chew on hard materials to keep their teeth down.
A spokesman for Scottish Hydro said: "From what we have been told, a rat got in among some of the equipment and did some damage to a cable.
"This, in turn, tripped our circuit breaker causing the power to go out."
