Police are appealing to the public to help trace a 39-year-old man who has been missing for five days.

William Little was last seen near his home in Durban Avenue, Dalmuir in the Clydebank area at around 5pm on Saturday.

He is described as white, around 5ft 10ins, and medium build with short brown hair.

When he was last seen he was wearing a light coloured top, grey jacket and dark coloured track suit trousers.

He has tattoos on his arms and owns a Staffordshire terrier cross-breed dog which has been found by police at his home.

Extensive enquires have been undertaken by police and his family are becoming increasingly concerned.

Inspector David Quinn said: "We know that William socialises in the Dalmuir area and is often seen walking his dog.

"His family is extremely concerned and just want to know he is safe and well.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen William or who may have any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts."

Anyone with information is asked to call officers at Clydebank Police Office on 101.
