A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has told a court of the moments after he believes he was raped by a maths teacher.

The schoolboy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, claimed Ronald Burton tutored him outside school, took him to the gym and bought him presents.

During his evidence via video link at Burton’s trial at the High Court in Glasgow yesterday, he alleged Burton also gave him massages, during which he touched him inappropriately.

The jury heard that when the boy started at high school Burton tutored him at lunchtimes and after school at a family member’s house.

He claimed that before Burton took him home after study sessions he would often take him to get a drink in McDonald’s and sometimes they would stop on a country road. He told advocate depute Paul Kearney they would talk generally but that over time Burton turned the chat to “sexual matters”.

He claimed that about three or four months after these conversations started Burton touched him while giving him massages at his house. He said Burton gave him money, clothing, drink and drugs.

He then told of an occasion when he stayed overnight at Burton’s house in the Easter holidays and was given Buckfast wine which he drank a bottle of.

The teenager said Burton got into the bed behind him and a hypnosis CD was put on. He said: “I remember going into a state of hypnosis and woke up and feeling a hot body lying at my back.” He said he felt sore, but didn’t question it and Burton got up and left.

Mr Kearney asked: “At the time what did you think had just happened to you?” and he replied: “I had just been raped.”

Burton denies the charges and the trial before judge Lady Stacey continues.
