Hamilton striker Rakish Bingham is hoping to get his career back on track by hitting the goal trail for his new club.

The 22-year-old Londoner was freed by Hartlepool at the end of last season, but he is no stranger to Scottish football.

Back in 2013, the forward struggled to make an impact while on loan at Falkirk from Wigan Athletic, but he is sure that he will be able to find the net for Accies if given the chance.

"This is the perfect opportunity to find my feet in football again,2 Bingham said.

"I got a call from my agent who spoke to Martin Canning who said he wanted me up straight away on trial. I seemed to have impressed enough to win a deal.

"I played for Falkirk who were in the Championship the last time I was here. Hamilton are in the Premiership so I expect it to be better.

"I played 12 times for Falkirk, making two starts and coming off the bench 10 times.

“It wasn't the greatest on the pitch, however it was a good learning curve for me and I was a better player for the experience.

"I was still relatively young when I was at Falkirk but I learned an awful lot during my time there.

"I am raring to go and the most important thing now is to get some game time.

"When and how I am not too sure yet but I will be patient.”

Bingham is used to being away from home, but he revealed that the camaraderie inside the Hamilton changing room has helped him settle in Lanarkshire right away, even if he can’t always understand his new teammates.

"People say this is a tight family club and you can see exactly why,” he said.

"They are a close-knit bunch of boys. That has helped.

"I had come in on trial over the last two weeks and I know a few names now.

"I struggle sometimes as the accent is pretty quick but I am getting there and I am getting used to it by now!”
