The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced a Scottish date as part of their first UK tour in five years.

The US funk rockers will play Glasgow's SSE Hydro on Thursday, December 8.

Support for the show comes from J-pop teen metal trio BabyMetal.

The four-piece, who recently headlined T in the Park and the Reading and Leeds festivals, released their 11th studio album, The Getaway, earlier this year. The album, which was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich, was number one in 10 countries across Europe.
