Rangers star Kenny Miller has been arrested in connection with an alleged disturbance at a restaurant hours after the Old Firm match.

The striker, 36, was involved in an alleged incident at Da Luciano in Bothwell, Lanarkshire on Saturday, September 10.

The incident came hours after Rangers lost 5-1 to Celtic at Parkhead.

The former Scotland striker is reported to have been at the restaurant with his wife.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 36-year-old man has been arrested and is the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal in connection with this incident."

A Crown Office spokesman said: "The procurator fiscal at Hamilton has received a report concerning a 36-year-old male in connection with alleged incidents on 10 September 2016.

"The report remains under consideration."
