The National Trust for Scotland will hold a 4-5km ranger led walk to watch the stags battle it out during mating season at Mar Lodge on Sunday.

Scotland’s biggest Gaelic Cultural Festival kicks off in the Western Isles on Friday.
The nine-day festival of Gaelic music, arts and sport returns to Stornoway for the first time since 2011, opening with a torchlight procession and a ceremony featuring Daimh and the Mischa Macpherson Trio.
Other highlights include the Fuaigh Fosgail ceilidh, an interactive Cuilean Craicte workshop, drama Solas and the Angus Macleod Memorial Lecture given by Deputy First Minister John Swinney.

4 Dragon Matrix: Hi-tech Adventure in the Woods

Combining augmented reality with theatre, this show promises fun for the whole family.
Budding adventurers will be taken on a quest through the Dark Wood to find six missing Dragon Stones during the show, which was created by Vision Mechanics.
Audiences can also use an augmented reality app to search for magical creatures and glimpse into a parallel universe during the production.

5 Graphic Design Festival Scotland

Mark Thomas will bring his unique brand of political comedy to Edinburgh tomorrow when he performs 100 Acts of Minor Dissent.
Known for his political activism, the show tells the tale of the year the comic challenged himself to commit 100 acts of minor dissent or face a forfeit of donating £1,000 to UKIP.
The comic will take a break from his current tour, The Red Shed, to perform the show, which debuted in 2013, in the Scottish capital so catch him while you can.

7 Clic Sargent Firewalk

Thrill seekers will be able to raise money for charity while putting their best foot forward on Saturday when Clic Sargent holds its firewalk in Glasgow.
Would-be adventurers will be given a safety workshop before walking over hot embers outside the city’s Candleriggs.
Money raised from the event, which is held in conjunction with Celtic Fire, will be used to help young people suffering from cancer.

8 The Citz Sessions

Music fans are in for a treat when The Citz Sessions are officially launched in Glasgow on Friday.
The new project features a series of exclusive, acoustic gigs from some of Scotland’s biggest artists, including Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison, Jacob Yates and the Pearly Gate Lock Pickers, Frances McKee, Claire Grogan and Gaelic songstress Kathleen MacInnes.
Guest curators, including Vic Galloway and former member of The Shop Assistants Ann Donald, will also be on hand to host each of the exclusive evenings.

9 Billy Elliot: The Musical

10 Scotland’s Boat Show

The largest boat show in Scotland returns for its 25th year on Friday.
