1. Edinburgh Zoo, Tiger Tracks

The Herald:

As the leaves begin to change this autumn up in the tree tops of RZSS Edinburgh Zoo, a brand new dynamic enclosure has been created for the Zoo's critically endangered Sumatran tigers, Jambi and Baginda.

The new enclosure features a walk through glass tunnel for visitors to get up close to these amazing animals. Watch on as Jambi and Baginda climb above and feel completely immersed in the natural surroundings of the enclosure. Not only do the tiger pair have a host of brand new climbing structures, but they can also splash in their new pool and relax on their heated rocks.

Edinburgh Zoo is a brilliant day out in autumn, take a stroll around the beautiful gardens, visit over 1,000 amazing animals, attend our daily talks with expert keepers and visit the UK's only koalas and giant pandas.

2. Go Ape

The Herald:

If you’ve not come across them, Go Ape is Scotland's number one Tree Top Adventure. Days out with them are about living life a little more adventurously, having fun with friends and family and getting in touch with your inner Tarzan (he’s in there, promise!).

Go Ape take one lush, green forest and a healthy dollop of breath taking scenery; blend with a smattering of tree-top high wires, tricky crossings and wind-in-your-face zip wires. Then serve up an adventure that never fails. The result is spectacular.

The Go Ape experience gets the adrenalin pumping, gets people out of their comfort zones and above all (no pun intended), it’s just great fun. Three leafy hideouts in Scotland can be found in the heart of Queen Elizabeth Forest Park, Aberfoyle, Crathes Castle near Aberdeen and Glentress Forest Peebles. Live life adventurously this autumn!
