A man is to stand trial next year accused of sexually assaulting a nurse within a lift of a flagship hospital.

Bubacarr Touray, 42, has appeared in Glasgow Sheriff Court from custody and was released on bail last month.

He is accused of sexually assaulting the nurse at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in the city's Govan area.

The alleged incident happened on November 16.

It is alleged Touray pushed her into the corner of a lift, attempted to kiss her on the neck and grabbed her breast over her clothing.

Another charge also states that he is accused of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner towards the nurse.

It is alleged he attempted to engage in conversation with the nurse and approached her as she waited on a lift to arrive.

The charge sheet also accuses him of asking about her whereabouts and making reference to her colleagues.

He is accused of following her on the lift and travelling to her floor having no reason to do so.

It is also alleged he made inappropriate remarks towards her.

Touray has entered a not guilty plea. His trial has been set for April 12.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court prior to the trial for the intermediate diet on March 15.
