A former Celtic youth coach will appear in court in Northern Ireland tomorrow in charged with sexual activity with a child.

Jim McCafferty, who used to live in Glasgow and joined Celtic in 1990, now lives in Belfast and is scheduled to appear at the magistrates ourt in the city.

The 70-year-old was arrested last month over alleged offences committed in Northern Ireland.

It is alleged that, on a date between December 2011 and December 2014, he intentionally engaged in the sexual touching of a child between the ages of 13 and 16.

McCafferty worked for Celtic, Falkirk and Hibs before moving to Northern Ireland.
