What is it?

A waterproof backpack aimed at outdoor adventurers. Overboard know how unpredictable the Scottish weather can be and have developed a backpack to offer the right balance of comfort and protection.

Good Points?

The 30 litre capacity provides plenty of room. This includes an array of pockets which will keep your belongings safe from the elements and unwelcome hands. The backpack's waterproofing is rated as class three which means it will float if dropped in water and will withstand minor submersions within three feet.

A reinforced base and side walls help protect contents from being crushed so you can have peace of mind when loading the backpack into an already jam-packed car boot or plane hold.

The design seems to have given equal thought to comfort and durability with a padded rear and straps. The materials also allow ample airflow to prevent uncomfortable sweat build-up and keep you on the move.

Bad points?

The flat plastic clip design allows moisture to get trapped on top when stationary. Rounded edges would have prevented this build-up. At 1.1kg it's a little on the heavy side.

Best for ...

Those who dwell in the great outdoors and need a rugged, flexible and waterproof backpack. This bag could also be used as an everyday tote for commuting.

Avoid if ...

You are part of Bear Grylls's TV crew as the construction materials won't handle high pressure waterfalls or prolonged submersion.

Score: 8/10.
