2. The Buddy Holly Story

Charting the rise and tragic demise of the American singer-songwriter - who was a central figure of mid-1950s rock and roll - this show relives the true story of Buddy Holly’s meteoric rise to fame, from the moment in 1957 when ‘That’ll Be the Day’ hit the airwaves until his death less than two years later in a plane crash at the age of just 22. The show features over 20 of his greatest hits, including ‘Peggy Sue’, ‘Raining in my Heart’, plus Ritchie Valens’ ‘La Bamba’. 3. Witch Hunt

A world-first combination of special effects in a special witch hunt room that took over four months to create, this brand new show at the capital’s creepiest venue is its most up-close-and-personal yet. Featuring the "baddest" witch in town, Agnes Finnie, audiences will be encouraged to get right in amongst the Witch Pricker’s interrogation chamber. However, attendees will have to protect themselves from accusations of sinister sorcery - or risk being burned alive. The Irish musical duo are still on the scene after a career spanning an impressive 40 years. Having released over 30 albums - many of which entered the UK Albums Chart - there’s no stopping this pair from continuing to entertain fans. Foster and Allen will be performing a string of their hits including ‘Bunch of Thyme’, ‘Maggie’ and ‘Old Flames’ at the town hall venue once again. 7. Is That Chris Ramsey?

8. The Calman Before the Storm

BBC Radio 4 regular and Glasgow-born Susan Calman gave up her job as a corporate lawyer in 2006 and quickly took the stand up circuit by storm. 9. A Tale of Two Cities

This unique cross-cultural collaboration sees Glasgow and Haarlem in the Netherlands come together to show the architectural and cultural synergy between the two cities in a series of limited edition original prints, a selection of which will be on show, at this preview of ‘Cityscapes’. Award-winning Dutch artist Eric J Coolen is participating in the exhibition, and his work will sit alongside 11 other Glasgow artists including Cecilia Cardiff, Paul Kennedy, and Sandra Moffat whose oil paintings of Glasgow interpret its iconic buildings, people, and its strong sense of place.
