A START-UP firm that makes wearable technology to help golfers improve their game has received a £500,000 grant from Scottish Enterprise to help the business grow.

Edinburgh-based Shot Scope Technologies produces a fully automated performance tracking system for golfers. Since launching in September 2016 the company has taken orders from 30 countries around the world, built a user base of 2,000 golfers and seen its adoption on the European and Ladies European Tours.

Shot Scope is aiming to use the new grant to help its international growth.

Chief executive David Hunter, said: “Over the past three years the partnership with Scottish Enterprise has allowed the team to build a product that is recognised worldwide as the pinnacle of golf technology.”

The device has been designed, engineered and manufactured within 25 miles of Edinburgh.
