Shay Logan: Kept McGeouch largely quiet until his goal, even if it meant the full-back could not get forward as often as he normally would 6
Ash Taylor: Beaten by Grant Holt in the air at Hibs’ first goal and helpless to stop McGeouch knocking in the second 6
Mark Reynolds: Given the nod over Anthony O’Connor to start alongside Ash Taylor and coped fairly well with the threat and pace of Jason Cummings 6
Andy Considine: Skinned by Martin Boyle at the Hibs first goal but mostly solid beyond that, switching from a left-back to a left-sided central defender as Aberdeen changed shape 6
Ryan Christie: Terrific vision for Aberdeen’s second goal, beating Ofir Marciano at his near post with an inch-perfect free kick. Surprisingly withdrawn in the second half 7
Ryan Jack: Captain was again solid in the middle of the park, breaking up the Hibs play and offering an extra layer of protection in front of his defence 6
Kenny McLean: A perpetual menace, always looking to get on the ball and stretch the Hibs defence. One first-half shot zipped just wide while a free kick after the break went well over 7
Jonny Hayes: Fairly quiet initially in his wide left role but always made himself available for a pass. Match winner with late deflected shot 7
Graeme Shinnie: Deployed in a surprising role just off the striker in the first half before returning to a deeper midfield role in the second half 7
Adam Rooney: Couldn’t have dreamed of a better start as he put Aberdeen in front after just 11 seconds but few chances came his way thereafter 6
