EDESIX, the Edinburgh-based manufacture of cameras that are worn on the body, has launched a new range which is already being deployed by UK police.

The X-100 and X-200 are head- and torse-mounted cameras respectively, which are aimed at police firearms divisions and for use on uniform vests, tactical body armour or all-weather clothing.

Both are capable of recording and streaming at high-definition quality, with Richie McBride, managing director of Edesix, saying such devices are now making a real difference to the protection of staff, and the general public.
