A SCULPTURE celebrating the success of the Isle of Eigg’s community ownership model is appear at a new exhibition that opens today.

Residents bought the Inner Hebridean island in1997 for £1.5 million, and made it a model for other islands with its own hydro-electric scheme. Hannah Imlach, a graduate of the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, designed Nautilis Turbine, a tower which focuses on the scheme. It is pictured here with Andrew Goring of the Royal Scottish Academy, before to goes on display of artists in residency.
