LAU accordionist Martin Green is the special guest of the Playtime jazz collective at their fortnightly residency in the Outhouse in Edinburgh this evening.

Green, who has won numerous awards with the experimental folk trio, has composed music for the Kronos Quartet and won a Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for his composition work in 2014. He has also produced the song cycle Crows’ Bones for Opera North and premiered the multi-cultural work Flit at last year’s Edinburgh International Festival.

He will be joined at the Outhouse by Martin Kershaw (reeds), Graeme Stephen (guitar), Mario Caribe (bass) and Tom Bancroft (drums). The music begins at 8:00pm.
