The home of former Celtic player Aiden McGeady has hit the property market with a price tag of over £1 million.

The five-bedroom detached home is where McGeady, 31, lives with his wife of four years, Claire.

The property is situated in Thorntonhall, an exclusive village in South Lanarkshire, just on the outskirts of Glasgow.

Described by Savills as a “bespoke, architect-designed family home with superb entertaining space,” the mansion spans three floors and boasts a games room with its own bar, spacious bedrooms, cinema room, and generous reception rooms.

In an image posted onto Rightmove, one of the rooms shows framed shirts from his football career displayed on the walls.

McGeady is reportedly selling the property as he prepares to move into another larger one in Lanarkshire, the construction of which is close to being completed.

McGeady made 185 appearances for Celtic before moving to Spartak Moscow in 2010 and recently signed a three-year deal with Sunderland.
