Scottish craft beer maker BrewDog has announced plans to open a trendy new venue in the east end of Glasgow.

BrewDog Hopworks will allow fans of the beer to create their own brews in a hip setting.

Minutes from the Barrowlands, Barras Market and Glasgow Green, the new approach for BrewDog will see reclaimed shipping containers converted into a “homebrew emporium.”

The containers will be installed with 50-litre pilot kits that can be hired by anyone who wants wanting to create their own brews with the help of trained staff.

The Hopworks will also have an “epic” bar and beer terrace “to capture that Glaswegian sunshine,” said the company on its website.

The venue will open in 2018.

More details have yet to emerge.
