Chiene + Tait expands entrepreneurial tax team

The Herald:

Nicola Williams has become the latest recruit to the entrepreneurial tax team at accountancy firm Chiene + Tait.

She joins the firm from Dickson Minto, where she handled a wide range of transactions including a number of Enterprise Investment Schemes (EIS) investments, share schemes and employment-related securities tax issues.

New Zealand native Ms Williams previously worked for the country’s Inland Revenue, managing a variety of cases that involved adjudications, advance assurance and rulings. She then joined the Auckland-based practice of accountants KPMG.

Neil Norman, a partner at Chiene + Tait and head of its entrepreneurial services said: “Nicola brings a unique ‘bigger picture’ approach to our firm. Whilst we will not offer legal services, her background experience will enhance the service we deliver to clients, helping them better understand how the tax and legal pieces of the jigsaw work together at all stages of running their business.”
