EDEN Mill distillery in St Andrews has invested £150,000 in a spirit blending experience that gives participants the chance to make their own bespoke gin.

And a number of famous faces have already lined up to take part in what has been named Blendworks, including Sir Ian Botham, and Scotland rugby stars Fraser Brown, Jonny Gray and Stuart Hogg.

Held in a specially designed spirits emporium at the Macdonald Rusacks Hotel near the Old Course in St Andrews Blendworks provides a two-and-a- half-hour multisensory journey into the world of blending, with Eden Mill boss Paul Miller hoping to attract 2,500 visitors within the first six months.

Mr Miller said: “At Eden Mill we love to share our passion with our visitors. It’s a source of great pride that our gin experiences at the distillery are listed number one on things to do in Fife on TripAdvisor.”

This is what led Eden Mill to explore the idea of offering a bigger experience.

“Blendworks offers a really personal experience whilst also paying homage to local traditions and produce – from the distilling techniques used to the botanicals that we painstakingly source.

“The fact that Blendworks is so interactive will encourage visitors to share content on their social channels, allowing their wider circles to become a part of the gin blending experience.”
