JON Welsh has been called into the Scotland squad for the remaining Autumn Tests after a trio of players were ruled out with injury.

WP Nel was forced off with a fractured arm during the first half of Scotland’s 44-38 win against Samoa at Murrayfield on Saturday and will play no further part in the campaign.

Tim Swinson, who featured from the bench during the opening day clash, injured his hand during the game and has also dropped out, along with Harley who picked up a knee problem during training.

Newcastle Falcons front row Welsh was called into Gregor Townsend’s squad on Monday ahead of the next fixture against New Zealand in Edinburgh this Saturday.

Wing Tommy Seymour sustained an injured toe and will require treatment, but Scottish Rugby have confirmed he will return to training later this week.
