Motorists have been warned to expect delays on the A83 near Arrochar later this month due to resurfacing work on the road.
A 10mph convoy system will be in place over a 400-metre section of the A83 at Succoth, to the west of Arrochar village itself, from Monday, January 22.
The convoy system will be in place during working hours, between 7am and 7pm each day.
Though the convoy will be removed outwith those hours, a 30mph temporary speed limit will be in place each night as traffic will be running over a temporary surface.
The work by trunk road maintenance company BEAR Scotland will cost £60,000 and is expected to take five days to complete.
Eddie Ross, BEAR Scotland’s north-west representative, said: “These essential resurfacing works will upgrade the existing road surface, greatly improving the quality and safety for road users.
“The traffic management arrangements are necessary due to the restricted width of the road at this location but our teams will do all they can to keep any disruption to a minimum.
“We thank motorists for their patience in advance and would also encourage them to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
