Motherwell 2 Aberdeen 0, Scott Mullen
Hard to believe, but this will be Motherwell's fourth trip to Hampden already this season, and I don't think it will be their last. Yes, they will be without suspended captain Carl McHugh, but it's the three absentees for Aberdeen that will be felt the most.
The Fir Park club battered Aberdeen in the Betfred Cup quarter-finals, scoring some great goals too. If Derek McInnes' men don't match up to Well's midfield physicality, there will only be one winner here.
Motherwell 2 Aberdeen 1, Neil Cameron
Motherwell have been great in the cups this season and I expect them to make it two finals in the same season since 1950/51.
How about that for a bit of knowledge.
Yes, Aberdeen are a better team, but with three key players suspended, I can’t see a huge difference between the two ahead of this game.
Motherwell are a canny team and I have a more than sneaky suspicion they could edge it – although penalties would not come as a surprise.
Motherwell 2-1 Aberdeen, Chris Jack
THERE may be 24 points between these two in the Premiership standings but there will be little to separate them at Hampden. The loss of Shay Logan, Graeme Shinnie and Kenny McLean leave Dons boss Derek McInnes with some big calls to make and his side may not cope with Motherwell’s physical approach. The Steelmen won’t be fazed by the Hampden experience and should edge it to clinch another final appearance.
Motherwell 2 Aberdeen 1, Nick Rodger
This could be a tight old tussle which could even go the full distance of extra-time, penalties, rock, paper, scissors etc etc. With plenty of key players missing Aberdeen may appear vulnerable. Then again, at least it means Derek McInnes won’t can over-think things on the tactical front which sometimes appears to be his downfall on these big occasions. With the top six now off in the distance, the determination to keep the impetus going in the last few weeks of the season may just give Motherwell the edge. But what do they say about predictions? A fool’s errand …
Motherwell 2 Aberdeen 0, Graeme McGarry
In normal circumstances, Aberdeen may be expected to progress, but you can't underestimate the absence of Graeme Shinnie, Kenny McLean and Shay Logan for Derek McInnes's side.
Motherwell are also missing captain Carl McHugh, but I just fancy that the missing personnel for Aberdeen will be too much for then to cope with.
I expect Allan Campbell to shine, and Motherwell to win.
Motherwell 2 Aberdeen 1, Alison McConnell
Aberdeen may have a point to prove going into this game given their recent reputation of choking on the big occasion.
However, the loss of key players will be hugely significant for them. And while there is very little between the two teams I think Motherwell will fancy their chances in this one.
The Fir Park side are no strangers to Hampden of late having taken their place for the League Cup final after seeing Rangers off at the semi-final stage.
I have a feeling that it will be a rerun of that fixture in May in the Scottish Cup final. My money is on Motherwell and Celtic to progress this weekend.
Why are you making commenting on The National only available to subscribers?
We know there are thousands of National readers who want to debate, argue and go back and forth in the comments section of our stories. We’ve got the most informed readers in Scotland, asking each other the big questions about the future of our country.
Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
So that’s why we’ve decided to make the ability to comment only available to our paying subscribers. That way, all the trolls who post abuse on our website will have to pay if they want to join the debate – and risk a permanent ban from the account that they subscribe with.
The conversation will go back to what it should be about – people who care passionately about the issues, but disagree constructively on what we should do about them. Let’s get that debate started!
