MURDER detectives are appealing for dash cam footage in their search for answers over the shooting of a man by a masked gunman in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.

Kenny Reilly, 29, was the passenger in a silver BMW which was being driven by a woman when he was shot in the head.

He died in Glasgow's Royal Infirmary on Wednesday two days after the shooting.

The Herald:

Detectives, who believe the murder is connected to a local feud, made a fresh appeal after carrying out a stop and interview operation in Ruchill on Monday in a bid to find information about the murder.

Police say that over 600 cars and more than 100 members of the public were spoken to as part of the two hour operation which began at 9.30pm in Bilsland Drive at the junction with Maryhill Road.

Detective Superintendent Kenny Graham said: “A considerable amount of information was gathered last night and I would like to thank everyone involved for their patience and co-operation.

"The information is being assessed and will be followed up as appropriate.

"I am also seeking dash cam footage from any motorists who use that area. It’s possible their footage may have captured something which will assist us in piecing together exactly what has happened.

The Herald:

"It doesn’t necessarily have to be on the day of the crime, and we would ask you to provide us with any footage you may have for that area.”
