Companies and organisations which have placed diversity and inclusion to the top of their agenda are coming together to share their ideas.
The second national diversity conference will take place on May 22, 2018, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
Jamie Hepburn MSP will open the event, while a talk will be given by Marie Macklin from the Halo Project .
Standard Life chief executive Barry O’Dwyer will also share insight on the benefits of businesses embracing diversity.
There will be three speaker panels: Diversity Role Models, Diverse Talent and Diversity - A Catalyst for Growth.
Each panel will also create a safe space for panelists to share some very personal and insightful views with the audience.
Discussion sessions will be held by ScottishPower, Glasgow Life, BAE Systems, MacRoberts LLP, Diageo, Wheatley Group, Taylor Wimpey, YSC and City of Glasgow College.
These will look at sharing case studies and best practice with delegates.
Scottish Water, Women in Banking & Finance, Employers Network for Equality and Inclusion, Smart STEMs and Enable Scotland will take part in the exhibition space to showcase how they can support with diversity in business.
Lynne Connolly, global head of diversity and inclusion at Standard Life Aberdeen, said: “Encouraging diverse employment is all about the benefits of different perspectives.
“And that’s what the conference is about too. I really encourage anyone thinking about developing a diversity strategy to come along and learn from their peers.”
