FOLLOWING a damning report by MSPS the chief executive of the national arts agency is under pressure to quit.

A 12-page letter to Janet Archer from Holyrood’s culture committee told her that Creative Scotland had been “badly damaged” by its own actions during a funding round in January and this had undermined the sector’s confidence in the agency.

Archer, 58, has already apologised for Creative Scotland’s mistakes during a faltering appearance in front of the committee in February. It is understood that she has been off sick for the past six weeks.
