POLICE are investigating footage in which a fan appears to racially abuse children before Rangers' Europa League tie in Macedonia.

The Scots accented fan is shot saying "mistake, mistake, mistake" while pointing at what are believed to be Macedonian children.

The footage, widely condemned by Rangers fans on social media, ends with the man who is seen holding a drink, saying "f*** the P**is" and "white power ya f***ng dafty"

It is believed to have been shot before Rangers' goalless first qualifying round second leg against Shkupi on Tuesday.

The Herald:

A Rangers statement said that the club "will take the appropriate steps".

It added: "This kind of behaviour is unacceptable and Rangers have been in touch with Police Scotland."

Police Scotland say they have brought the film to the attention of the Macdeonian force and are "providing them assistance in their investigation".

Charity Show Racism the Red Card said they were "disgusted by the racism and dehumanisation".
