A FATHER described as “one in a million” has been killed and another man is in a critical condition following an alleged stabbing at a bus stop in broad daylight.

Police said a disturbance involving four people took place at 5.45pm on Sunday in Clydebank where Dom Brown was fatally injured.

The 31-year-old was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but died soon after.

It is believed Mr Brown had been seen talking to a woman near the bus stop prior to the attack. Detectives in the case have not confirmed what type of weapon was used, although it is understood that a blade was involved.

Another man, aged 34, remains in a critical condition in intensive care.

A 45-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

Family and friends have paid tribute to Mr Brown online, with some describing his death as “a sad loss for Clydebank”.

Lauren Kennedy wrote: “You were such a cracking person.

“Always had a smile on your face and you took time to ask how people were.

“I’m sure Clydebank has woken with a heavy heart.”

Paying further tribute to Dom on social media, one woman wrote: “No words will ever explain Dom.

“He was the funniest guy. One in a million and had so many memories with him that will forever be treasured. His life and soul will always live on.

“He will forever be remembered as a funny, amazing guy, loved by many. Thoughts and prayers will be with his family. RIP, Dom.”

Another added: “Absolutely devastated to hear such sad news of a well-loved guy. Life truly is way too short and we really need to grab every chance whilst we can Rest In peace, Dom. You will be sadly missed.”

“Rest easy cuz,” was another, as one tribute read, “ RIP, Dom. You were a lovely boy. What a cruel world we live in.”

A JustGiving page has been set up to help Mr Brown’s family and more than £2000 has been donated so far.

On the fundraising page, organiser Gillian Connelly wrote: “We?re raising £5,000 to help Dom and Margaret Brown, family and friends give their precious son the send off he deserves.”

A friend who donated wrote: “Gutted, it’s a cruel world we live in and a darker place now without your smile to light it up RIP Dom.”

While another added: “What a great guy you where Dom, always made me laugh. Sorely missed by all.”

A large-scale police cordon was put in place around the scene as officers took over a section of Kilbowie Road, close to Cleddans Bar, just along from Adriano’s fish and chip shop.

Forensics teams worked at the scene well into yesterday following the incident, which police have only described as a ‘disturbance’.

Buses were diverted from the scene, with McColl’s Travel issuing a statement yesterday morning saying the Kilbowie Road/Drumry Road stop would not be served for the remainder of the day.
