A blind woman is to take part in the historic Lord Mayors show this Saturday, with her guide dog.
Kim Groom, from Bromley, and her dog, Dee, will be part of a large contingent from the charity, Guide Dogs for the Blind, which will be featuring prominently in the procession.
Her float will be decorated as a traditional London horse-drawn omnibus. She said: Dee has made such a difference to my life in all sorts of ways.
This is a tremendous way of showing the public just what every guide dog means to its owner.
She added: I am delighted to take part and I am really proud Dee will be seen by so many people doing what she does best.
