Christmas trees can be recycled and turned into chippings for use in the garden.
Swanley Town Council is encouraging people to take their old trees to Lower Car Park in New Barn Road on January 4 between 10am and 4pm, where park staff will be there to help.
Free bags to transport the trees are available from the Civic Centre, the Information Centre in Swanley Library, Beejays Nursery, St Marys Nursery, and the Apple Shop and Honeydale Shop in and around Swanley.
More than 13,500 Christmas trees were recycled in Kent last year. Kent County Council hopes to recycle even more this year.
