MEMBERS of the Sharks Swimming Club from at the Eric Liddell Sports Centre, in Mottingham, returned from the Reading National Championships with a superb haul of individual and relay medals.

Among the local swimmers taking part was Mottingham's Caraline Thompson.

She won a super double gold in the 50 metres breaststroke and 50m backstroke, plus a bronze in the medley relay. Another Mottingham girl, Kate Sheridan, won an excellent hat-trick of silver medals in the 50 and 100 metres backstroke finals, the 50m freestyle, plus a bronze in the medley relay.

Grove Park's Billy Morgan is a prolific medal-winner in these type of galas and he came away with three bronzes in the 50m backstroke, plus medley and freestyle relays.

Brockley's Ben Summers, picture above, added a bronze to his collection when third in the 100m backstroke.

The Sharks Swimming Club, which caters for people with all forms of disability or learning difficulty, meets at the Eric Liddell Sports Centre, in Mottingham, on Monday evenings.
