1200 witness statements in biggest investigation since Lockerbie bombing

IT was the persistence of Felicity Drumm's sister and a breakthrough in forensic testing that finally triggered the sprawling investigation that brought an end to Malcolm Webster's 17-year campaign of harm and deceit.

In 1994, the crash that killed his first wife, Claire, in Aberdeenshire was reported as an accident. His wife, he claimed, was trapped in the car because a tree was jamming the door.
