April's murderer drops appeal bid

Mark Bridger, convicted of the murder of April Jones, five, has abandoned his application for permission to appeal against his whole-life tariff, said the Judicial Office.

Bridger sexually abused and murdered her. The former slaughterhouse worker was given the whole-life sentence by trial judge Mr Justice Griffith Williams.
