Attacker's crime order

An intruder jailed for 15 years after savagely attacking a grandmother was yesterday ordered to hand over £17,590 in crime profits.

Derek Clark, 32, earlier admitted attempting to kill Mary Coulter, 76, at her home in Overtown, near Wishaw, North Lanarkshire, on March 22, 2012.

The Crown raised proceedings to seize crime profits from Clark.

The judge at the High Court in Edinburgh made a confiscation order for £17,590 which he was told was the available amount.
