Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of around £235,000 have been seized from a property in central Scotland.

Officers found the cultivation yesterday after swooping on an address in Main Street, Shieldhill, in the Forth Valley area.

A 48-year-old man from West Lothian has been arrested and charged, Police Scotland said.

He is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court.

Detective Sergeant John Dreczkowski said: "This was a significant recovery of drugs and illustrates the excellent work being done by our pro-active unit."
