CCTV cameras worn by police spot 500 incidents in trial use

Body-mounted CCTV cameras worn by police and wardens have spotted more than 500 pieces of evidence of crime and anti-social behaviour in the first eight months of a pioneering scheme.

The cameras have secured evidence on crimes involving drugs, offensive weapons, vandalism, graffiti, breach of the peace, littering, dog fouling and licensing and road traffic offences across Renfrewshire.
