THE man dubbed the Da Vinci Code rapist, whose early release from prison sparked local protest, has been ordered to serve another year.

Robert Greens, 35, still faces a further sentence for flouting a Sexual Offences Prevention Order imposed to allow the authorities to monitor his behaviour.

Yesterday he was brought back before the judge who had jailed him for 10 years for the drug-fuelled rape of a 19-year-old Dutch student in the shadow of Rosslyn Chapel in Midlothian.

Greens was freed by the parole board in January last year after serving six years and eight months of his sentence. He was spotted in Penicuik, last October 24, despite a Sexual Offences Prevention Order having banned him from the Midlothian town.
