A CRIME gang member is behind bars after police seized £2.6m of amphetamine.

Iain Stock was caught in February this year after a large-scale probe into a gang who planned to flood Scotland with the class B drug.

Stock was on licence at the time having been released early from jail for other drugs offences.

The 44-year-old yesterday pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of amphetamine.

Judge Lord Burns locked him up for four years and nine months at the High Court in Glasgow.

Stock, of Arden, near Loch Lomond, was part of a Merseyside-based crime group. Prosecutor Paul Kearney said he was a "trusted associate" of a senior member within the gang.
