Eleven arrests in drug raids

ELEVEN people have been arrested after a six-month operation to crack down on drug dealing in the Borders.

Properties in Galashiels, Selkirk, Kelso and Hawick were raided and heroin, Valium and cannabis were seized by 100 officers working on Operation Goal.

Nine men – aged 49, 23, 29, 40, 42, 38, 31, 40 and 43 – and two women aged 44 and 39 were arrested and charged, police said.
