Euro ruling is threat to Scots law

A landmark European court ruling which could lead to thousands of criminal cases collapsing in Scotland is to be debated in the UK’s Supreme Court next week.

 

Seven Supreme Court judges will sit for three days next week to decide whether the test case from Glasgow Sheriff Court proves the way suspects in Scotland are interviewed by police, without a lawyer present, is in breach of human rights law.
