THE family of a man whose body was found in a flat in Fife have paid tribute to a "much-loved son".

Gavin Ross, 28, was found at an address in Abbeyview, Dunfermline, on Thursday April 30.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with murder and is due to appear before Dunfermline Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Police Scotland issued a statement on Monday on behalf of Mr Ross' family, who did not wish to be named.

It said: "Gavin was a much loved son, father, brother and nephew and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

"We are still in shock with the loss of Gavin and we respectively ask to be left alone to grieve in private at this very difficult and sad time."

Police were called to the block of flats where Mr Ross' body was found at around 8.30pm on Thursday.

Neighbours said the "tight-knit community" was in shock over the young man's sudden death.
