Fears over spate of cat poisoning

SCOTLAND'S largest animal welfare charity is investigating the suspected poisoning of seven cats in Scotland's smallest county.

The Scottish SPCA has confirmed three of the cats, from Alloa, Sauchie and Tillicoultry, died from poisoning and are investigating whether three further deaths, also in Clackmannanshire, had the same cause.

Vets suspect a seventh cat, which is showing signs of kidney failure, has also been poisoned.
