A SEXUAL predator has been convicted of raping a 14-year-old girl and abusing five others over a 19-year period.
Fruit and vegetable salesman George Anderson, 63, from Johnstone, mouthed abuse at his victims in court as he was remanded in custody after the verdict.
Anderson, who had a fruit and vegetable shop in Johnstone, committed the offences between May 1973 and August 1992 at various addresses.
He raped one of his victims in the back of a converted ambulance from which he sold fruit and vegetables.
His other victims were subjected to inappropriate groping.
During his trial at the High Court in Glasgow Anderson claimed all the victims were lying. He will be sentenced next month.
