Grievances about police complaints rise by 20%

The number of people claiming Scottish police have mishandled their complaints has increased by nearly 20%.

Applications from the public asking for their complaints to be reviewed by Professor John McNeill, the Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland, rose by almost one-fifth to 133 last year.
