A MAN has been jailed for nine years at the High Court in Edinburgh after molesting two girls and subjecting one of them to a rape ordeal.
George McBain, 59, "molested one girl when she was aged between 10 and 11 at a house at Ellon, in Aberdeenshire, between 1988 and 1989 and at a caravan near Turriff. A second victim became the target for abuse from the age of eight in 1989 at properties at Ellon and was raped by McBain when she was 11 years old. McBain, formerly of Gardner Crescent, Aberdeen, was found guilty of five offences of indecent behaviour, assault and rape, following a trial.
